Jerry Work - President
jwork@workmedia.net
Jerry is the former Manager of Search for Shop at Home TV, the nation's fourth largest home television shopping network, where he was in charge of on-site search optimization, external search engine optimization, and pay-per-click marketing. Shortly after beginning the company's SEO campaign, total natural traffic and revenue from natural traffic increased 300%.
Jerry has performed web site design and marketing campaigns for dozens of web sites. He has also authored several Internet marketing guides, publishes the Work Media Internet Marketing Blog, and is currently developing Work Media's proprietary Google AdWords management application. He was formerly a Microsoft-certified .NET programmer and still uses his programming and development skills for the benefit of his marketing clients.
He has about ten years of experience in the fields of web site design and marketing. Other than promoting web sites, Jerry's love is playing guitar.
Chris Work - Lead Marketing Consultant
cwork@workmedia.net
Chris Work has over eight years of experience in the fields of web site promotion and marketing. He began his online marketing career in 1999 while working for a futures brokerage firm in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was hired to optimize the firm’s website for favorable search engine rankings. During this time Chris soon realized that by altering page titles, keyword placement and page content, search engine rankings could be manipulated.
An attempt at launching a dedicated search engine optimization firm (ICanBeFound.com) followed soon thereafter. The SEO industry was in its infancy and it was a difficult sell so the firm eventually folded, but Chris learned much from the experience and used it as a vehicle to experiment with different Internet marketing techniques.
This kick started a career that has spanned dozens of clients and websites. In 2000, Chris went to work for the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ACNP) at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. At the ACNP, Chris published and promoted the college’s online scientific journal. While this was a great opportunity, Chris yearned for a larger challenge.
In 2004, he joined CJ Advertising, a well known Nashville agency specializing in advertising campaigns for law firms, as Director of Internet Marketing. At CJ, he successfully produced and managed online marketing campaigns for law firms across the United States. The campaigns often involved purchasing search engine clicks that cost more than $10 each, so Chris had to be very efficient at spending his client's budgets to maximize their return on investment.
In early 2007, Chris left CJ to join his brother, Jerry Work (also an experienced Internet marketer), in forming Work Media, one of Nashville's very first full-service Internet marketing firms. Work Media soon took on partners in Frank/Best International, a successful Nashville advertising agency with several very large clients that include Honda Power Equipment and AKG Microphones. The combined company can provide a full spectrum of marketing/advertising services, from television campaigns to search engine marketing.
Bobby Frank - Partner

Bobby Frank joined Work Media as a partner in early 2007. He brings extensive experience in marketing, advertising, media and content development and delivery. At the root of his fascination with search and new media is the opportunity to connect with consumers and engage them on a level that was previously impossible. Bobby has been involved in Internet marketing since 1995 when he launched Linx Communications, a New York-based web development firm. After returning to Nashville in 1997, he co-founded Frank/Best International (www.fb-i.com ). Frank/Best provides advertising, marketing and media services to some of the world’s most well known brands including Honda, Blockbuster and AKG Acoustics. Bobby is also a partner in New Shoes Media (www.newshoesmedia.net), a content developer and IPTV programmer. He has a BA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Hofstra University. He is entrepreneurial by nature and brings the Work Media team a strong strategic dimension as well as tested business and financial management skills.
Jim Reams - Vice President, Public Relations & Marketing
jreams@workmedia.net
Jim Reams earned a music degree from the University of North Texas, and proceeded to move to Nashville to launch a music career. During that time, he began a day job as a writer, editor and photo editor at Athlon Sports Communications, the country’s premiere publisher of sports annuals. When he decided he’d had enough of the music business altogether, he became an account executive at his former bandmate Bobby Frank’s new advertising agency, Frank/Best International. After a family decision to move to Florida, Jim landed a position as a copywriter in the advertising department at the Office Depot corporate headquarters in Delray Beach. He then went to the Caldwell Theatre Company in Boca Raton, where he was Director of Marketing and Communications for six years. Jim was responsible for all aspects of the non-profit arts institution’s communications, including the Company’s Internet site. That experience ignited his interest in the Web and led him to form an independent web design agency, First Word Communications, which specialized in Web design for small businesses. Jim returned to Nashville in 2003 and his interest in blogging, podcasting and other interactive new media flourished. Since 2004, Jim has been a well-known member of the region’s blogging community and his stories and opinions on various blogs have garnered national and international attention and a number of blogging awards.
